This is a short-term, temporary contract role for onsite support at the TEDMonterey conference in Monterey, California. You may be asked to work some or all of the dates between July 26-August 4, 2021.
As the Signage Coordinator, you’ll assist the Conference Operations team by managing the inventory of signage throughout the conference for all venues and events. You’ll receive, sort and track inventory from multiple vendors, keeping detailed and accurate records using online documents. You’ll be hands-on in assembling signage, using basic hand tools and power tools. You’ll also help the TED team and local staff find and keep track of all their signage needs, and assist with onsite orders for new signage needs.
You’re organized, resourceful and detail-oriented, able to take ownership of a project and work independently. You take direction well and operate efficiently in high pressure or time sensitive situations. This position requires standing for long periods, and being able to participate in some physical work and heavy lifting of up to 50 lbs.
