Operations Associate
POSITION OVERVIEW
The operations associate is responsible for making sure the day-to-day publishing of the TED Audio Collective is running smoothly from metadata storage, publishing assets are QC’d, delivered, and stored properly, and maintains a regular metrics reporting schedule for each of our shows. This person would also take on ad-hoc audio operation tasks as given by new initiatives and projects that may come up.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Managing the entire publishing process of each of TED’s podcasts including liaising with various producers and production teams, as well as editorial and programming leads
- Responsible for the maintenance and systemization of each podcast’s Airtable to ensure congruence between shows, and up-to-date information for other TED teams to view
- Leads the storage and file management of TED’s audio assets, providing key information such as specs, file segmentations, and nomenclature to producers
- Quality checks all of the audio before being published
- Work with podcasting publishing platforms to create and launch RSS feed onto platforms
- Creates templates and regularly sends reports on show’s performance
- Undertake miscellaneous projects and tasks as needed
SUPPORTING QUALIFICATIONS
- 2-3 years of experience with strong project management skills: Able to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure while juggling competing deadlines and deliverables.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and an ability to deal with multiple stakeholders.
- Obsessive attitude toward organization, streamlined workflows, and clear and concise communication
- Excellent excel skills, with an understanding of SQL and/or podcast analytics is a plus
- Technical understanding of RSS feeds, is a plus
- Passion for podcasts
