The TED Residency program is an incubator for breakthrough ideas. It is free and open to all generous spirits via a semiannual competitive application. Those chosen as TED Residents spend fourteen weeks at TED headquarters in New York City, working on their ideas in a creative and collegial open-plan environment. In addition to weekly group check-ins, there are workshops, brainstorms, and other optional group activities—no two days are the same. Residents also develop a TED talk and deliver it on a TED stage.
