As a Food + Beverage Assistant, you’ll support the Experience Production team across all Food and Beverage programs at Countdown Summit. You might find yourself assisting with conference catering, overseeing attendee and crew meals, managing food and beverage exhibitors, or supporting TED’s popular snack program. You’re ready to jump in wherever needed; supporting the food and beverage programs by supervising staff, setting up and tearing down exhibitor booths or managing program schedules. You’ll be communicating regularly with partners to support them operationally and ensure that Health Department regulations and COVID-19 best practices are adhered to at all times.
You’re energetic and detail-oriented, with a strong work ethic. You have prior food and beverage, catering or client relations experience and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You’re proactive and resourceful, able to think critically, and be calm and discreet when solving problems. You follow instruction well and are comfortable working under minimal supervision.
This is a labour intensive position. You must be able bodied and willing to lift and move at least 50lbs. This position involves standing and walking for long periods, and using pallet jacks and handheld dollies to transport product throughout the conference spaces.
