We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer responsible for identifying and communicating risks and helping engineers to continue to deliver the best possible product for the growing TED community.
This is a full-time remote position.
Who are you?
You’re passionate about prioritizing testability and stability in products over time.
You have five years or more of testing experience in agile companies/ projects.
You have extensive experience with automated test frameworks for Android, iOS, Desktop, web applications, and backend services.
You are excellent at performance testing, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.
You have strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
You’re a problem solver; ready to tackle any situation with an open mind.
You’re a self-starter; able to work independently and as a team member.
You’re friendly and personable.
What will you do?
Work with software engineers and designers to develop manual and automated testing strategies.
Create detailed and well-structured test plans and test cases to uncover inconsistencies and bugs.
Define corrective actions and monitor debugging processes.
Give engineers focused and useful feedback on product quality, surfacing only the results that matter most.
Develop best practices around technical testing.
Provide end-to-end solutions to software quality problems.
Jump onto various projects with confidence during times of need. Other duties and special projects as may be assigned from time to time.
